As the demand for Locally grown natural produce continues to grow, I will continue to focus on finishing steers and heifers for local markets as fresh or frozen packed. With only using quality forages and grains to feed these cattle I can ensure that this is the purest of beef with no antibiotics or hormones added.
I select the calves from a quality herds direct from other Ontario farms, guaranteeing the best quality meat from the farm to your plate, without the necessity of antibiotics. Only government inspected local abattoirs are used for processing, so you can be confident in the food safety on your table.
My natural feed method means a slower gain, and takes a little more patience, but the end result is piece of mind with what we eat.
My aim is to have a constant supply of this tender delicious beef on short notice for orders of whole/halve/quarter or 1/8 carcass, or even custom packs. Due to overwhelming satisfaction of customers and word of mouth, my supply continues to be limited. However, this dilemma has encouraged me to increase production, so I can supply you with the quality you deserve.
Current customers know, and keep coming back for the Galloway beef that helped build this little business. Unfortunately the Galloway supply of calves can't keep up, so I have implemented the same feed program using other selected breeds to continue supplying the growing demand.
Even though I use a natural focus for feeding these cattle, please understand that today's conventional feed programs that utilize growth hormones to increase efficiency of gain play an important role to sustain Canada's beef industry. Health Canada, The World Health Organization, and Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations have all confirmed the trace amounts found in the beef is safe for human consumption.
